El martes 29 de noviembre tuvo lugar la premiere en Kinepolis de “1898, LOS ÚLTIMOS DE FILIPINAS” en la que asistieron a la gala, el director SALVADOR CALVO, sus protagonistas LUIS TOSAR, JAVIER GUTIÉRREZ, ÁLVARO CERVANTES, KARRA ELEJALDE, CARLOS HIPÓLITO, RICARDO GÓMEZ, PATRICK CRIADO, MIGUEL HERRÁN, EMILIO PALACIOS, ALEXANDRA MASANGKAY y EDUARD FERNÁNDEZ, y el productor ENRIQUE CEREZO.
La noche de ayer se extendió la alfombra roja para dar paso a los protagonistas de este nuevo film español «Los últimos de Filipinas», en los cines de Kinépolis. A la gala acudió el equipo del film, pero además muchas caras conocidas para disfrutar del preestreno del film que tiene muy buena críticas y que recomendamos no os la perdáis.
Sinopsis: «En el verano de 1898, en la pequeña aldea costera de Baler, en la isla filipina de Luzón, un grupo de soldados españoles luchan contra un grupo de nativos insurrectos. Liderados por el coronel Enrique de las Morenas (Eduard Fernández) y el teniente Martín Cerezo (Luis Tosar), el medio centenar de combatientes sufren un asedio y se ven obligados a refugiarse en la iglesia del pueblo.
Durante casi un año, este puñado de militares se mantuvieron sitiados y sin rendirse, con el convencimiento de que la guerra de Filipinas aún no había acabado. Pese a los numerosos avisos por parte del gobierno español y de los propios habitantes de la isla, los soldados permanecieron inamovibles, ante la incredulidad sobre la cesión del imperio a Estados Unidos. Y es que, con la firma del Tratado de París entre España y Estados Unidos, se ponía fin formalmente a la guerra entre ambos países, y España cedía la soberanía sobre Filipinas a Estados Unidos. Debido a esto, los sitiados en Baler fueron conocidos como ‘los últimos de Filipinas’.»
