Callao tiene grandes pantallas luminosas, que al caminar por debajo de ellas, recuerdan a las de Times Square en Nueva York o Picadilly en Londres, por poner tan solo algunos ejemplos, aunque a mí particularmente Madrid me enamora en cualquiera de sus rincones.
Callo es un punto, que no debes dejar pasar en tu próxima visita a Madrid, pues en la Plaza de Callao existen grandes pantallas luminosas que ocupan fachadas del Cine Callao, y para aportar algo diferente a los que no son madrileños, pues es bueno saber, que en dichos cines se han celebrado miles de Photocalls con celebridades nacionales e internacionales.
Así que, si vas un día, y tienes la suerte de ver uno de esos eventos que se montan, podrás ver que existe un gran despliegue de luces, alfombras rojas y de ves en cuando, aparece una que otra de esas celebridades en Callao. Yo me haría la típica foto, para tenerla de recuerdo y decir que pise el sitio, donde han estado personalidades tales como : Will Smith, Bratt Pitt, Penélope Cruz, Antonio Banderas y muchas más figuras del cine o de series populares.
Este edificio de Callao, se construyó en el año 1927, como uno más de los dedicados al entretenimiento que se levantaron en esa zona de la Gran Vía. La fachada principal del edificio del Cine Callao está ocupada por los tradicionales grandes carteles publicitarios que anuncian las películas proyectadas,esto lo hace muy peculiar y llamativo.
En la estructura del edificio es muy discreta, pero no pasa desapercibida, pues en una de sus esquinas, su fachada se asemeja a la de un faro. Además ,un lugar de este edificio y poco conocido, es la terraza que en su momento fue abierta como lugar de ocio.
Por eso si vienes a Madrid, o si vives aquí, escapa de lo ordinario e imagina por un momento… que tienes una tarde inolvidable… fantaseando en lo que mejor te parezca, quizá te pase como a mi, que te topes con Will Smith, le des la mano y te hagas un selfie con él.
